The Karim family has been trading in textiles for over 120 years.

Our first shop opened in the border town of Mulanje, Malawi in the late 1800's. After many years of trading, the shop relocated to Limbe, Malawi and opened under the name "Pound Shop".

"The Pound Shop" still operates to this day!

Grindlay Fabrics was established in Cape Town in 2004 and has now been in existence for 22 years.

It is currently run by the 4 brothers that constitute the 4th generation of Karims in South Africa.
